The best companies we’ve seen didn’t start with consensus, they started with a founder who saw something no one else did. We built Ardent around finding those founders early, backing them fast, and supporting them as they build the company. The results speak for themselves.

The founders we back don't fit neatly into pattern matching frameworks – their ideas sound too early, too weird, or too ambitious. But when you sit with them, something shifts. Backing non-consensus founders requires a non-consensus process. We spend 12–18 months developing deep conviction in emerging categories before deals ever come to market. That work gives us a clear view of the landscape, and the ability to move quickly and stay close from first check to Series A and beyond.

Each of our Founding Partners has a proven track record in venture capital spanning over 20 years and generating over $1 billion in realized returns; both are also former Founders. The team brings experience as former product leaders, founders, and operators.
Phil is Co-founder and Managing Partner of Ardent Venture Partners. A former venture capitalist and operator with 20+ years of experience, he brings deep expertise in fintech, enterprise software, and early-stage company building.
Phil is Co-founder and General Partner of Ardent Venture Partners. He brings over 20 years of venture investing experience focused on B2B fintech, marketplaces, and vertical SaaS.
Dan is a Partner at Ardent Venture Partners, where he focuses on B2B fintech, vertical SaaS, and AI-native applications. A former founder and operator, he joined Ardent at its inception and has been a core part of the investment team since day one.
Zach is a Principal at Ardent Venture Partners, focused on backing and building early-stage technology companies. Before joining Ardent, he was an active angel investor and founder, most recently of Elenas, a social commerce platform that raised over $40 million.
Felipe is an Investor at Ardent Venture Partners, focusing on early-stage software and technology-enabled businesses. Prior to Ardent he worked at McKinsey & Company, Morgan Stanley and Elenas.
Sara is VP of Operations and Data at Ardent Venture Partners, overseeing the firm's operations, fund administration, HR, and data infrastructure. She has been with Ardent since its early days and has scaled the operational backbone of the firm across two funds.
