Alfred Johnson

Alfred brings a rare combination of White House policy experience, financial markets expertise, and serial entrepreneurship to the Ardent CEO Partner network. He began his career in the Obama White House as Special Assistant to the Chief of Staff and Senior Advisor to the Treasury Assistant Secretary for Financial Markets, before serving as a Vice President in BlackRock’s Financial Markets Advisory Group. He co-founded Mobilize, a marketplace software platform acquired in 2020, then returned to public service as Deputy Chief of Staff at the U.S. Treasury under Secretary Janet Yellen from 2021 to 2022 — overseeing digital assets, cybersecurity, and operations for an 80,000-person department. In 2023, he co-founded Crux, now the leading ecosystem connecting clean energy developers, tax credit buyers, and financial institutions across the IRA tax credit market. He holds a B.A. from Stanford University and an M.B.A. from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
