Phil co-founded Ardent with a conviction that the most important companies of the next decade would be built at the intersection of AI and financial infrastructure. Before Ardent, he spent 15 years as a General Partner at Novak Biddle Venture Partners, where he led 16 investments totaling over $100 million, and subsequently founded Summer League Ventures, an early-stage fund whose portfolio includes Morning Consult, ExecOnline, and Reserve Trust. Phil holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University, a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School. He serves on the boards of Verituity, ExecOnline, Incentivio, and OneMain Financial (NYSE: OMF), and is an advisory board member at the CMU Swartz Center for Entrepreneurship.
